First Glorious Mystery: The Resurrection of Jesus

«Very early on the first day of the week, they went to the tomb with the spices they had prepared. They found the stone rolled away from the opening of the tomb. They went in but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. They did not know what to think when two men in dazzling garments stood before them. They were frightened and turned their faces to the ground. They said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen"» (Lk 24:1-6).

Second Glorious Mystery: The Ascension of Jesus into Heaven

Third Glorious Mystery: The Coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles

«When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance» (Acts 2:1-4).

Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption of Mary

«For this reason, from now on all generations will call me blessed, because he who is mighty has done great things for me, whose name is holy» (Luke 1:48-49).

Fifth Glorious Mystery: Coronation of Mary in Heaven

«A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars» (Rev 12:1).

Primeiro Mistério Glorioso: Ressurreição de Jesus

«No primeiro dia da semana, muito cedo, dirigiram-se ao sepulcro com os aromas que haviam preparado. Acharam a pedra removida longe da abertura do sepulcro. Entraram, mas não encontraram o corpo do Senhor Jesus. Não sabiam elas o que pensar, quando apareceram em frente delas dois personagens com vestes resplandecentes. Como estivessem amedrontadas e voltassem o rosto para o chão, disseram-lhes eles: "Por que buscais entre os mortos aquele que está vivo? Não está aqui, mas ressuscitou"» (Lc 24, 1-6).

Segundo Mistério Glorioso: Ascensão de Jesus ao Céu

«Depois que o Senhor Jesus lhes falou, foi levado ao céu e está sentado à direita de Deus» (Mc 16, 19).

Terceiro Mistério Glorioso: Vinda do Espírito Santo sobre os Apóstolos

«Chegando o dia de Pentecostes, estavam todos reunidos no mesmo lugar. De repente, veio do céu um ruído, como se soprasse um vento impetuoso, e encheu toda a casa onde estavam sentados. Apareceu-lhes então uma espécie de línguas de fogo que se repartiram e pousaram sobre cada um deles. Ficaram todos cheios do Espírito Santo e começaram a falar em línguas, conforme o Espírito Santo lhes concedia que falassem» (At 2, 1-4).

Quarto Mistério Glorioso: Assunção de Maria

«Por isto, desde agora, me proclamarão bem-aventurada todas as gerações, porque realizou em mim maravilhas aquele que é poderoso e cujo nome é Santo» (Lc 1, 48-49).

«Apareceu em seguida um grande sinal no céu: uma Mulher revestida do sol, a lua debaixo dos seus pés e na cabeça uma coroa de doze estrelas» (Ap 12, 1).
